Lauren Tallman

Lauren Tallman, originally from Dallas, Texas, received her BFA in Painting from The University of Texas at Arlington in May of 2026.
Lauren is currently building out her flat world, pushing back against narrow ideas of “good” painting, creating work that feels more human and accessible. Her work is personal, intimate, and about lived experience, rather than some kind of mastery or spectacle. Lauren is continuing to develop a strong body of work that melds her interests in flatness, lighting, and pattern.
Lauren has shown in multiple different spaces across DFW, including Giant Runt in Fort Worth, The Arlington Museum of Art, and 500x in Dallas.
