Brian Mendez

With a BFA they received from East Carolina University, Brian is currently working towards their MFA as a first year at KU. With work that focuses on identity through themes of race, gender, and sexuality, they combine multiple processes to create self-portraits that act as a diary, creating a timeline of their life. Brian has primarily worked with processes such as Lithography, Intaglio, and Serigraphy, but are now exploring identity through the use of Photography and Textiles in combination with Print.
