Ouch, Barbara Lane Tharas

February 13–21, 2026

Ouch is an exhibition by Barbara Lane Tharas consisting of paintings, found objects, letters, and zines that express queerness, fatness, family, and rejection. By experiencing this work, we find solidarity in the merged acts of following a visual narrative and reflecting on our own types of familial relationships. Community and empathy can ultimately resolve anything.

Ouch featured an Open Mic and a Zine-Making Station where anyone can voice their thoughts, poems, or performances and express visual or literary interests to then distribute.
