Undergraduate Admission Information

Admission to all Undergraduate Degrees

In addition to completing the on-line application » for University Admissions, prospective incoming freshman must submit a portfolio and responses to three essay questions to the Department of Visual Art in order to complete the application process and be eligible to seek a B.A., B.F.A., or B.A.E. degree in Visual Art.  

Important Dates for Incoming Freshman (Fall Admittance)

KU online admission application must be completed to be eligible for KU general scholarships. Your COMPLETED application for admission is also your application for new freshman scholarships. No additional forms, essays, or resumes are required.

Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) becomes available online. KU's Federal School Code is 001948.

FEBRUARY 1st (Please note that this deadline has been extended to March 1, 2020, for August 2020 incoming freshmen and transfer students.)
Completed portfolios and essay questions must be received  by the Department of Visual Art to be considered for the annual Department of Visual Art incoming freshman scholarship competition. 

MARCH 1st 
Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) priority deadline, apply online. KU's Federal School Code is 001948.

MARCH (end of the month)
Notification of Department of Visual Art scholarship award.

MAY 1st 
State of Kansas Student Aid Application priority deadline, apply online.
